Instructions Close down ViewBuild before installing this update. Please "Save" this update to your computer before running it. (Note: Save it to a location you will remember how to find it) Once it has finished downloading please "Open" or "Run" it Click through the install process accepting the licensing terms. When the update installation has finished close the program. Run the ViewBuild Software - A message box should appear informing you that your update was successful.

Additional files - Bonus Start-Up World
Download and save this file to the ViewBuild/System folder (overwrite the existing file with this one to replace it or rename it if you wish to keep it)

This file replaces the start-up world. It contains a set up with floor bases, elevation bases and new sky - it requires the latest upgrade in order to use the layers option to turn these elements on and off. The layers menu can be accessed from the context bar (you know the bar at the bottom of the ViewBuild window - press the Space Bar if it has disappeared)

Support for Windows Vista

The following instructions are for Windows Vista - to fix the start-up error only.

  • Delete the ViewBuild shortcut from your desktop

  • Locate the Program Files/ViewBuild Professional (or ViewBuild sketch) folder

  • Locate the System folder in this folder.

  • Click and hold the Right Mouse button on the VB3Core.exe Icon While holding the mouse button pressed drag the icon onto the windows desktop Let go of the mouse button and select Create Shortcuts Here

  • Click the right mouse button on the newly created shortcut and select Properties (A window will appear)

  • Click the Shortcut tab

  • Click in the box next to Start In

  • Delete \system\ - make sure you do not delete the quotation mark

  • Click Apply

  • Start ViewBuild
